ALLISON Pearson corrects Dame Barbara Cartland's rebuking of Prince Philip's Germanic strictness ('Cooking up a tasteless dish', 19 June) by insisting that he is actually Greek. He was born on Corfu and is nominally Philip of Greece, but his ancestry is predominantly German and to a small degree Danish. Whether or not this justifies Dame Barbara's charges is another matter.
