IT WAS heartrending to read of the couple ('Restoration stress syndrome', Review, 25 July) who had to spend pounds 150,000 on restoring their mansion, then struggle with a new pounds 20,000 kitchen while 'living in a single room with a gas ring'. Ain't life a bitch]
