IF THE momentous conjunction of Uranus and Neptune in Capricorn ('City in the stars', Business, 3 January) only occurs once every 172 years - 1993, 1821, 1649 - then the occurrence prior to that would have been 1477 not 1485. Pears Cyclopaedia says 1477 marked the end of the House of Burgundy. An omen, perhaps, for the EC.
