JOHN BULLOCH was less than generous in his review of Terry Waite's new book Taken on Trust.

Mr Bulloch's snide conclusion is that this 'self-centred man' (would you expect him to be an extrovert after years of solitary confinement?) preferred being chained to a wall than endure the company of others. The book deserves a more serious review than this.
