THE CLAIM by Colin Skellett of Wessex Water (Letters, 9 August) that 'Drinking water in the UK is the best in Europe' is so manifestly false that one is astonished that he could have the gall to make it.
I suggest he tries a glass of the water that comes out of my taps. The level of chlorination is so high, I have develped an allergic skin reaction to it and have to take appropriate precautions whenever I have a bath.
