LYNN BARBER is right to draw attention to the evil cunning of the grey squirrel (20 December). My own plans for a squirrel- proof bird table have had to be shelved: laying the minefields and electrified barbed wire presented no problems, but the Ministry of Defence refused to provide the helicopter gunships which were an essential element.
