I WRITE to correct an error contained in your second leader 'Yobbery and snobbery', (21 June). As a former soldier of the Highland Light Infantry, I can state authoritatively that the regiment involved in the unhappy events at Minden some 30 years ago, which provoked the local inhabitants to nickname its soldiers 'The Poison Dwarves' was The Cameronians (The Scottish Rifles) not the Highland Light Infantry (71st/74th Highlanders).
