You say that French pupils are abandoning the school canteen, where healthy meals are served, in favour of McDonald's ("France goes to fat on fast food", 12 January). In France this may well reduce the healthiness of the meal that they eat. However, in Great Britain would pupils eat a healthier meal at McDonald's rather than the school canteen since privatisation?
