I Read with interest Yvette Cooper's story that the Socialist Workers' Party didn't manage to appear at the Labour Party conference this year, (Was Marx right...? Business, 6 October). Odd this, because when I looked in my copy of Socialist Worker I found a statement to Tony Blair about the relevance of trade unions and socialism which had the names of large numbers of delegates to the, erm, Labour Party conference appended to it. Is Ms Cooper perhaps thinking of New Labour's disgraceful decision to bar journalists from Socialist Worker from covering the conference from inside?
