Sir: As a royalist who, nevertheless, reads the Independent, I am regularly delighted by your quirky photographs of members of the Royal Family. Surely, Mr James has missed the point. Thursday's photograph was not of the Queen Mother on her birthday; it was a photograph of a male member of her staff holding her handbag.
