Sir: The late Rabbi Hugo Gryn ("In life this man was the best- loved rabbi in Britain; his death is tearing the Jewish community apart", 17 February) never claimed to represent Jewry as a whole. However, he personified all that is best in Judaism and humanity, and it would surely become Jews of every ilk to emulate and celebrate his life in a spirit of unity.
