Sir: Having, over the last few years, set the typographical and design standards by which all other newspapers are measured, why now the overnight decline into mediocrity? It seemed rather ironic that your explanation (18 March) sat below a picture of a pair of revivalist platform shoes getting the better of model Naomi Campbell. If you're not taking a step forward, what's the point?
