Letter: After its humiliation at Gorazde, the United Nations could still salvage a little credibility

Sir: Once again, Bosnian Serbs have made further territorial gains under the noses of UN forces. I believe that the UN has shown little commitment to halting the suffering and misery in Bosnia and Herzegovina - largely through lack of Western leadership.

I beg the UN to meet the demands of the Sarajevo government that the safe areas provided for by UN resolutions be protected, or the Bosnian Muslims no longer be deprived of a fundamental human right - the right to protect one's community.
