Sir: May I, through your columns, point out to the compilers of the British Attitudes Survey (report, 25 January) that "watching television" cannot by any stretch of the imagination, be classed as a "leisure time activity". The classing of cinema, ballet, opera, theatre and music as "activity" is also questionable, to say the least, where it refers to the passive process of watching or listening.
