ANTHONY TREWAVAS upbraids Marie Woolf for raising the "hoary old question" of antibiotic resistance genes in corn (Letters, 13 June). While his argument about stomach acidity was persuasive (even sufficient), he goes on to assert that "all corn is processed in the UK". Perhaps he should get out more - to his local supermarket, for instance. On this he is both inaccurate and unnecessary.
