Sir: Andrew Brown ("Bishop says UK would provide no safe haven", 25 February) is wrong to say I played "no active part" in the campaign to free the two accused of blasphemy in Pakistan. In fact, I was in constant touch with the government of Pakistan, its High Commission here and with different church groups in Pakistan who were working for their release.
