ROGER DOBSON ("Doctoring the evidence", Review, 9 August) says that research misconduct is unpoliced in this country by any state body. True, but for two years Dr Frank Wells and I have been running an independent agency to deal with this problem. With more than 30 cases referred to us by pharmaceutical companies, health authorities and NHS trusts we are actively and successfully involved.
