ALTHOUGH I've watched Rugby Union for many years, last weekend was the first time I had seen Sevens, albeit on television. The comment I have to make now - I know the purists will howl me down - is they should reduce teams to 12 men instead of 15.

There's nothing more exciting than fast running with the ball. It would be a great spectator sport, and the gates would increase by 50 per cent.
