WE HEAR the Conservative Party is in debt for pounds 19m ('Who pays the piper?', 20 June). This all began with Peter Brooke's lavish refurbishment of the party offices. Now he has spent the Department of Heritage's money doing up his new offices for a mere pounds 3m. Just pounds 1m would save the entire theatre-in-education movement.
