CLASSIC FM . . . What a joy. After years of searching along the waveband, especially during the night, in irritation, trying in vain to avoid drum-heavy accompaniments to raucous voices yelling indecipherable lyrics, out of tune ('Ho hum for Classic FM', The Critics, 13 September). The final thought of your correspondent about the station being another unhappy consequence of David Mellor's unbridled passion was snide, uncalled-for and marred an otherwise workmanlike article.
