LETTER : BRIEFLY

I WAS disappointed that Andy Green is among many English educationalists who still do not think of looking across the border for new educational models ("In 10 years, will anyone care what A-level grades you got?", 6 August). The British version of the Baccalaureate is closely approximated in the Scottish "Higher Still" programme, due to start soon. This will allow students to mix academic and vocational course modules, and learning at different speeds.
