Sir: May I request of Stuart Barnes (Letters, 6 August) that should he feel compelled to shoot himself in the foot as an indication of his unsuitability of being a soldier in Bosnia, then he at least wait until next May, when the forthcoming Rugby Union season is over and we Bath Football Club supporters have once again appreciated his talents with the oval ball.
