Sir: I must correct your education correspondent's report (6 June) about the Charity Commission investigation of the National Confederation of Parent Teacher Associations. lt was not "hastily added to the agenda of a top-level Home Office meeting". The conduct of the commission's investigation is entirely a matter for the commission. It was not mentioned at our long pre-arranged meeting with the Home Office.
