IN HIS review of God's Funeral by A N Wilson ("Why won't He lie down?" 20 June), David Lodge writes: "The two most successful political leaders in the West are both high-profile Christians and at least one of them is sincere."

I can guess their identity: but please, Mr Lodge, which is the sincere one?
