Sir: Now that scratch cards have become part of everyday life for Independent readers, can we please have advice about how to remove the aluminium-coloured coating at the breakfast table without contaminating the toast and marmalade?
Alternatively, can you assure us that the coating has been cleared as fit for human consumption?
