Sir: I do not believe that videos and computer games are responsible for the sedentary lifestyle of today's young people (Letters, 28 September). I am much more restrictive with my three daughters than my parents were with me but this is because of the fear of danger from traffic or assault. In the last six years in my Pennine village one child has been killed on the roads and another assaulted near a popular path. How do you allow them the freedom to roam I had?
Yours faithfully,
LESLEY CONOLLY
