Sir: John Drummond has indeed achieved a great success in organising the Proms programmes. Yet it is true that some of the innovative programmes and locations of recent years are missing. Certainly I would welcome more world or 'ethnic' music. For instance, the Indian concert was a unique occasion. Timetabling will be a problem, but is it really necessary to include so much classical or traditional music, marvellous as it is?
Is it too late even now to include more world music in next year's programme, making use if need be of alternative locations? A final question - is it possible to make more use of the Royal Albert Hall's magnificent organ?
Yours sincerely,
