Sir: What is all this tosh about milkmen not being qualified to manage football clubs ("The making of a manager", 11 May)? What about Ernie Tagg? Ernie, getting on for 30 years ago now, was a popular and effective predecessor of Dario Gradi as manager of that academy of soccer excellence known as Crewe Alexandra. And Ernie, of course, was a milkman. They won't forget old Ernie. Will they?
