Sir: Whilst one wishes every success to the London Music Hall Trust in their efforts to secure funds for Wilton's Music Hall (report, 11 May), we should be clear that it is not the oldest surviving building of this kind. The Britannia, in the Trongate in Glasgow, was opened in 1857. Sadly, it has not caught the imagination of the showbusiness world: the process of decay will probably pass the title to Wilton's.
