Letter: Grace missing from cricketing stage
Sir: David Gower is to cricket what Stefan Edberg is to tennis: they are the brightest stars in their firmaments because they move so beautifully. Both produce riveting performances which are not only intelligent but graceful, even
balletic.
English cricket is the poorer without Gower's performances to look forward to. He has been left out of the tour out of spite, of course: his book was published too soon.
Yours faithfully,
H. C. GRANT
