JOHN PRESCOTT is right to promote the employment generating aspects of greening our economy ("The green star is rising", Section 2, 12 April). And he is also right to concentrate on unglamorous areas like insulation installation - the European Environment Commissioner has identified that some 3.4 million job years of employment can be generated cost-effectively in Europe in this way. This is satisfying and worthwhile work which can, under appropriate supervision, often be undertaken by the semi-skilled.
