Sir: Chaim Bermant ('Bombs that give us strength', 28 July) claims that Hamas was responsible for the New York World Trade Centre bombing. He hopes to convince the readers of your newspaper that Hamas could be behind other bombings in the West.

Hamas has not been indicted so far in any operation executed outside Palestine, and not a shred of evidence has been provided to support such allegations. Neither the US nor Britain, nor any other place on earth apart from our homeland, Palestine, is used by Hamas to resist the occupation and struggle for the liberation of Palestine.
