Letter: Invasions of privacy

Sir: If the Government is to deal with press invasion of privacy, should it not also include in any draft Bill a provision entitling the person whose privacy has been infringed to take civil action against anyone who has assisted in the infringement or intrusion, damages being assessed by reference to the profit or benefit made?
