YOUR leading article 'Labour, much too defensive' (17 July) made reference to the UK's relatively high defence budget and stated that, among Nato countries, its defence spending as a proportion of GDP is exceeded only by the United States and 'by Greece (with special regional problems)'.
When did peace break out in Northern Ireland? I must have missed this welcome news through following the World Cup too closely.
