Sir: I have been a member of the Church of Scotland for over 50 years, and an organist for nearly 30. During that time, I have neither sung "Jerusalem", nor been asked to play it. Far from dropping a well- loved hymn for "politically correct" reasons, might I suggest that our hymnary committee have rightly concluded that the hymn has simply fallen into disuse?
