Letter: Jewish royal prayers

Sir: While I cannot help as to when the Church of England began to pray for the Royal Family, it may interest your readers to know that as long ago as 1824 Ashkenazy Jews were praying for 'our most gracious Sovereign Lord, King George the Fourth and all the Royal Family'.

I suspect that the Sephardim were so praying even earlier.
