Letter: Life after ban on tobacco cash

Sir: Clive Turner of the Tobacco Manufacturers' Association (letter, 24 May) refuses to talk about addiction and talks instead of choice and pleasure. I made a single choice when I was 14 or 15 which has committed me to a daily expenditure at current prices of about pounds 7 and damage to my health and the health of my family. I have frequently made the choice to stop smoking, but I'm not up to it.
