Sir: Robert Fisk's excellent article today made me realise the fear that underpins our inaction in the face of Bosnia's suffering.
This fear, strongest in our politicians and, dare I say it, media, is shown by ever more desperate circumlocutions. Should we 'implement air strikes', 'authorise military action', or 'engineer a strategic withdrawal'? Unfortunately not. We have to go to war against a brutal and corrupt regime, and we absolutely must do it now before others - including the Croatians and Muslims - realise that oppression and lies work.
