Sir: In your article "On the banks of the Thames, a 40-foot bust of Churchill" (20 September), it is stated that the Churchill Society has supported the erection of a monumental-sized sculpture of a bust of Sir Winston Churchill on the South Bank of the Thames. This is incorrect. At no time has the society been consulted or involved in any way with this project.
