Sir: Once again (Letters, 6 April) a representative of the AA has been given the opportunity of pronouncing on transport policy. There is a widespread misconception that the views of the AA reflect those of its members, who, in fact, have no means of influencing its pronouncements. The AA should stick to its proper function of helping motorists in trouble.
