Sir: Thank you for your new look. Today is only my second day as an ex-Independent reader returned to the fold. After a long flirtation with the Telegraph, I am desperate for serious, in-depth political comment, free from a gossipy spin. Today's changes are refreshing and much more like The Independent's original spirit. Genuine independence with coverage of all views is surely the paper's strength. I am glad to be back.
