Sir: I agree with Mark McDonagh (letter, 20 August) about pub grub. My local is gradually being taken over, albeit there is a dining room, and an adjoining room also for dining. Fine, but now that they have invaded the public bar, almost every table is taken over by food - and the looks you get if you dare to light a cigrarette]
