Letter: Patten wrong on right to silence
Sir: I have read your criticism of the abolition of the 'right to silence' today ('A sacrificial crime policy', 7 October).
I can't help feeling that if I were charged but innocent, I would not wish to have a right to silence: in fact quite the reverse.
