Polite in Paris,

not Pinner

Sir: M D Wells (Letters, 18 August) from Pinner informs us that Parisians are "rude, ignorant, and in a hurry".

This may or may not be the case, but I am sure that they are too polite and too well educated to make crass generalisations about people from Pinner.
