Sir; I totally agree with your comments concerning the Royal Naval College. It is an architectural gem by the Thames that is under-rated and under- used.
I believe in privatisation but certainly do not believe in discarding the nation's heritage as if selling the family silver. I am also not very keen on the idea of a university using the building, as many of us know how many fine buildings have been taken over by colleges and universities only to be turned into dingy buildings with horrible fluorescent lighting.
Your proposal about contacting Unesco to try to turn the site into a World Heritage Site sounds very interesting and a possibility if enough pressure is applied.
Yours sincerely,
