YOU REPORT that Dr Elias Choueiri, the Lebanese director of railways, plans to build a line from Tripoli to Tyre with an eventual link to Israeli state railways. In this he may be helped by anything that has survived of the line from Haifa to Tripoli which Army Engineers built during the Second World War.
