Sir: Edward Hollox (letter, 4 July) cannot add St John to the list of those who have a college named after them at both Cambridge and Oxford.

St John's College, Cambridge is named after St John the Evangelist, whereas St John's College, Oxford takes its name from St John the Baptist.
