THE DIARY report of WTO and the Seattle police department's strong- arm methods, reads more like the Michael Meacher of old (Labour), before he caught the Blairite bug that can eat its way into anyone's iron resolve against global capitalism. So I look forward to his remarks on Comrade Straw, who is busy turning even the chance of peaceful protest by thinking electors into a permanent terrorist offence, under something satirically entitled the Freedom of Information Act.
