Letter: Sense of Swiss ban on transit lorries

Sir: Anyone who has watched the mutilation of the belly of Mont Blanc through the spectacular Chamonix Aosta valley over the past 30 years will thank the Swiss people of Uri from the bottom of their hearts, not only for saving part of their own heritage, but also for showing the rest of us that they could have their own say without the interference of politicians.
