Sir: If John Patten really thinks that pre-adolescents are innocent of matters like oral sex and Mars bars (report, 24 March), he is more out of touch than usual. However, before he becomes too insufferably bumptious on the subject, he might like to consider that my 11- year-old daughter learnt most of what she knows about the wilder shores of sexual behaviour from Conservative MPs.
